Warped is a synthesized large-scale acoustic and visual space. A remixed version of the song "Time-Warp" from The Rocky Horror Picture Show provides the soundtrack for a projected performance (by the members of Sontext) of the dance from the original musical. The tempo and structure of the song is altered to such an extreme degree that the final result is a barely recognizable version of the original. A black and white image of the figures is super-imposed on a color backdrop of a quickly passing urban landscape, which changes from day and night and back again. They perform a simple "jump-to-the-left" while the background whirls around them and seemingly around the room (if projected on opposite walls). A pronounced, artificially disorienting environment is created through temporal and spatial manipulation.
